Hey kid, it’s been a minute since my last post – lots to catch up on! This is basically going to be a big photo dump which I hope you enjoy.
You’re sick right now which is a bummer. Momma is laying by the crib in your room. I HATE that I can’t be around you when you’re sick, but I’ll keep that rant to myself. I was sitting near you while your mom got ready for bed and you kept telling me daddy read book, get momma, over and over lol. I know where I stand, I’ll gracefully take #2. By gracefully I mean I’ll keep giving you ice cream cones until I’m #1 and training you to say “daddy’s girl”.
Let’s get to the pictures, in no particular order.
The biggest thing to happen between now and the last post is you turned 2! I can’t believe how big you are or how much you’re already talking. You sound like a caveman but you know a ton of words and can very clearly communicate your toddler demands to the world. Right now one of your fun games is to claim basically every seat on the couch and then race me to sit in it before I sit down. It’s pretty funny, I let you win then sit on you which you seem to enjoy. Btw looking at you eat that cake, 10/10 form. I’m impressed.
You showed 1% interest in your mom’s sunglasses, so of course I had to get you a whole bag of kid play glasses. I knew they’d only last a day between you and the dogs, but just this picture alone was worth it.
Not the greatest picture, but I don’t get in a lot of the pictures outside of the house so I thought I’d throw it in. Here we are at the zoo. I have animal shoes on to try and keep you entertained. You’ve been to the zoo a lot, and it’s fun to see you finally start looking at the animals instead of the nearest big rock that happens to be blowing your mind.
How cute is this picture of you from Easter? I could have sworn I already posted this somewhere, but I can’t find it and it’s cute enough to post twice anyway. Part of my favorite thing about this is I’m in front of you and mom’s holding the camera in front of me for this picture, so this smile was for me.
Another one of your current favorite games is to hide under a blanket and surprise momma. You’ll hide and then tell me “get momma” and call out “mommy”, then giggle when you hear her coming.
This is you watching TV, that is all.
Another cute photo of you. You seem to like playing in the rain, this picture is you playing with Sheri. When we go on walks sometimes you’ll wear rain boots and we’ll seek out puddles for you to get out of the stroller and stomp through.
You and Matt’s son, Nathan, hanging out. It’s not a shock he has a toy power tool, hopefully you’ll get to know Matt well enough to understand why. The guy hauled around a sledgehammer in the back of his jeep for like a year, what did he think he would need to spontaneously smash? Anyway, you are betrothed to this young man so please learn to get along.
This is just a cute picture of Pongo I figured I’d throw in. He’s only a few months old in this picture. Actually your favorite dog right now is Mugsy, you’ll wake up from naps in your crib and ask for mommy, daddy, and muggy boo.
So that’s what we’ve been up to lately. Hopefully your fever goes away soon so we can play tomorrow. You’re amazing and I love you like crazy!
